With the new STL legal requirements, it is important that you know how to update your marketing listing on EmbraceScotland to include your STL Licence number. Although you may not yet have your licence number and it is not currently a statutory requirement to provide it, it is great to be prepared for if and when this becomes compulsory.
Below you will find detailed instructions on how to do this.

The ASSC maintains regular communication with all the digital platforms, including Airbnb and various agencies. We can confidently confirm that they are actively working on enabling the incorporation of STL (Short-Term Let) licence numbers.
We would also like to acknowledge that it may take some time for licences to be processed, if you are given a provisional licence number, you can display this while you full licence is being considered.
By completing these steps, you’re not only adhering to the new legal requirements in place but also assuring potential guests of your commitment to responsible hosting.
*If you have multiple properties listed on one webpage, please write the name of your property, licence number and EPC rating at the bottom of your listing/page description. If you are exempt from requiring an STLL, for example if you have a liquor licence or caravan licence, please add that information at the bottom of the page instead*
